A Symphony of
Lights
This spectacular
multimedia show, confirmed by Guinness World
Record as the world's "Largest Permanent Light
and Sound Show", combines narration and lights
on 33 key buildings on both sides of Victoria
Harbour. The facades of these buildings are
bathed in colourful light to create a dazzling
show every night starting at 8pm. Pyrotechnics
are added for special occasions. Best viewed
from aboard a boat in the harbour, the Avenue of
Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui or Golden Bauhinia Square

Avenue of Stars
Located on Tsim
Sha Tsui promenade, this new attraction features
commemorative plaques (some with handprints of
local stars); milestones about Hongkong's
hundred year history of filmmaking; a towering
Hongkong Film Awards sculpture; and kiosks with
movie memorabilia. There is also a two-meter
tall statue of kung-fu legend and action hero,
Bruce Lee. More than that, the wide-open space
of the Avenue of Stars offers incredible
panoramic views of the famed Victoria Harbour
and the memorable skyline.

Cheung Sha Wan

Cheung Sha Wan
Road Fashion Street is a great place to pick up
the latest fashions at wholesale prices

1. MTR Sham Shui Po Station Exit C1, and walk to
Cheung Sha Wan Road Fashion Street.

Clock Tower
Alongside the
Hongkong Cultural Center and the Starferry
Concourse stands the Clock Tower of the former
Kowloon-Canton Railway terminus. The tower was
completed and came into operation in 1921 and
the only thing left behind when the station was
demolished in 1975
How to get there:
1. MTR Tsim Sha
Tsui Station Exit E, walk towards Salisbury
Road, turn right, take pedestrian next to YMCA
to Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Then turn right
and walk straight ahead towards the waterfront.
2. Take Star Ferry from Central or Wan Chai and
follw the signs. The clock Tower is located next
to the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier.

Jade Market & Jade
Street
Located on Kansu
and Battery streets, the Jade Market is a
collection of around 400 stalls selling a wide
range of jade pendants, rings, bracelets,
carvings and ornaments. Open from 10am to 5pm,
the market is also the main gathering place for
buyers of this fine stone who today still
communicate with secret hand signals when making
a purchase. Nearby is Jade Street, located on
Canton Road between Kansu Street and Jordan
Road, where shops operate from 10:30am to
2:30pm.
How to get there:
MTR Yau Ma Tei
Station Exit C, walk along Nathan Road to Public
Square Street. Walk along Public Square Street
to Canton Road for 10 to 15 minutes. |

Kowloon Walled
City Park
Opened in 1995,
the park covers 31,000 sqm of the site of the
infamous Kowloon Walled City. The
classical Chinese garden adopts the Jiangnan
style in landscape design, and features the
remnants of the South Gated of the old walled
city, as well as original stone plaques
and pre-war concrete remains.
How to get there:
1. Take a taxi
from MTR Lok Fu Station Exit B to the entrance
on Tung Tau Tsuen Road.
2. Bus 1 from Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry bus
terminus and get off at Kowloon Walled City

Ladies' Market
Ladies' Market is
a must-visit destination for fashion lovers with
an eye for bargain-priced clothing, bags,
accessories, toys, cosmetics and household
knick-knacks. The stalls making up this
enjoyable market can be found on Tung Choi
Street, Mong Kok
How to get there:
1.MTR Mong Kok
Station Exit E2, then walk along Nelson Street
for two blocks.
2.Bus 1, 1A, 2, 6 or 6A from Tsim Sha Tsui Star

Lei Yue Mun
Seafood Bazaar
Lei Yue Mun is a
fishing village in the area and a must for
seafood lovers. Visitors can wander at will
along covered plankways, purchase their own live
seafood from the many market stalls, and take it
inot nearby restaurants to be cooked according
to their specifications

1. Bus 14C from
Lam Tin MTR Exit B.
2. Green minibus 24 or from Yau Tong MTR Exit A2
and get off at Sam Ka Tsuen Ferry Pier Terminus. |

Sik Sik Yuen Wong
Tai Sin Temple
One of the most
renowned temples in Hongkong. It opened to the
public in 1956 and attracts worshippers of all
three traditional Chinese religions : Taoism,
Buddhism, and Confucianism. Built on the lower
slopes of the Kowloon Hills, it gives its name
to the nearby MTR Station

Temple Street
Night Market
Temple Street is
an amazing sight, featuring rows of brightly lit
stalls hawking an astonishing variety of
inexpensive items for men and women ─ including
clothing, pens, watches, CDs, cassettes,
electronic gadgets, hardware and luggage.
How to get there:
1. MTR Jordan
Station Exit A. Turn right into Jordan Road and
walk three blocks to Temple Street.
2. MTR Yau Ma Tei Station Exit C, walk along Man
Ming Lane to Temple Street. |

Yuen Po
Street/Bird Market/Flower Market/Goldfish Market
At the Yuen Po
Street Bird Garden, is favorite gaathering place
of Hong Kong's songbird owners, who carry their
beloved pets around in intricately carved cages.
All manner of beautiful birds can be seen here,
as well as a host of traditional bird-keeping
paraphernalia. Located on Yuen Po Street in Mong
Kok, the market contains some 70 songbird stalls
as well as interesting courtyards and moon
gates.
The Flower Market is a jungle of exotic
blossoms, luck-bringing houseplants and sweet
scents to be found in more than 50 shops. It's
fun to walk around the market admiring the huge
variety of flowers and plants for sale. Before
Chinese New Year, families flock to the market
to buy auspicious plants to celebrate the most
important festival on the Lunar calendar. You'll
find this botanical treat on Flower Market Road,
Mong Kok.
At the Goldfish Market, this specialist market
is the preferred source for goldfish and other
exotic fish of every shape and hue, as well as
aquariums, corals and aquatic ornaments. Head
for Tung Choi Street in Mong Kok.
